Kim's Garden Shop

…The Writing Is On The Wall…In My Garden Shop

Yes, I am still working on my Garden Shop and getting organized and ready for the full gardening season this year. I hope to make a lot of videos for my YouTube channel. My channel is called Kim’s Gardens because I made it years before I started this blog/website. My intentions at that time were just to chronicle my garden as I worked on it and fixed it here and there. Of course, short films of my grandson were included. But now, Kim’s Gardens is a big extension to my website.

My garden shop easy craft letters

Anyway, to decorate the walls of my new Garden Shop, I have decided to use those 10″ wooden letters from Hobby Lobby. ($2.49 each) We got some for our Movie Room and I liked them so much that I decided to put my channel name on the wall in my area, so that when I film in there, the name of the channel would be visible. I started with the letters for Kim’s Gardens since that was a lot shorter than The Hypertufa Gardener. That way, if I didn’t like it, I wasn’t out the expense of those letters.

I told you I was a frugal gardener, didn’t I?

So far, I really like it. I think it brightens the place up. I will get the other letters and do my website name also soon. I’ve put the Kim’s Gardens lettering on the far wall, so I will put the other above my Garden Bench.  I am making a video of this first process, so be sure to pop over and watch it. Or I can put it here on the post too!

Kim's Garden Shop - Easy Wall Decor - Letters!

Shout out to those who asked about putting magazines pages from garden magazines up? Same as I did for my old Garden Shed at the old house. Nope, not happening here. Not enough magazines, too much work, then the “been-there-done-that” thing. I have to try something new in Kim’s Garden Shop now, right?

putty adhesive to attach letters to wall

I bought my alphabet letters and already had some Quik Tac. It is sort of a putty blob you can stick on the back of anything to stick it to the wall. It is something you can hang posters, photos, etc. It sticks on the wall, but you can just pull it off and move it if you change your mind. This stuff is great! No mess, no fuss. Reusable. And if you watch the video, you can tell that my package of Quik Tac is ancient. I know I have had that for 10 years or more and it is still just as reliable. I don’t know if this brand is even made any more, but here is a link to my Amazon page for a similar adhesive putty. I have an example of it pushed to the top of that shopping page. ( I am an Amazon affiliate and I could make a few cents if you should make a purchase. Thanks for supporting my page.) Check it out here: https://www.amazon.com/shop/kimsgardens

I think I am going to like my new “identity” posted on the wall. Now on to getting the letters for The Hypertufa Gardener . Think I will put those over the potting bench!
